I spent one term at the London College of Communication in the typography class. During these two month I worked on three projects in the field of editorial, print and conceptual design. One of these was the Blog Collection Book.
A collection of all my blog content in a book. With the intention of binding a book myself and playing around with materials like hard card board and film.
With the typography class we visited a graveyard in London. Inspired by the calm and pious atmosphere we created several print works.
The print is sliced in the middle so that you can fold it into a variety of layouts.
When thinking about a book cover for Sartre´s "The Words", I came up with the simple idea, working only with the words the book contains. I ended up printing all text from the book onto the cover, wrapped in a translucent jacket showing title and author.
By translating the cover into different languages unlike patterns and grids occured.
